A full moon in December 2022. When I painted this piece, part of me knew that it would be the last painting I made for my mother. I was able to give her the original painting on Christmas, and I remember her smile when she saw it, and she managed to say out, "That's really beautiful!" in a voice much stronger that I could have hoped for. I'm so grateful for the beauty of her, the life she lived, and the lives she's touched with her enthusiastic and joyful love. Just as the moon reflects the sun's life-giving light, I hope this painting reflects the purity of a mother's life-giving love for her child.

My original painting was created with watercolors and alcohol inks. This is a glossy, digital, paper print of my painting.
